Our History
Nova Children’s Daycare Centre was established by Loyalist College, located in Belleville, Ontario, as a training facility for their Early Childhood Education students with the purpose of providing a quality daycare for the residents of Sydney Township and the surrounding area. Nova Children’s Centre was incorporated on January 17, 1979 as a licensed day care and not for profit corporation. In the fall of 1992 , Nova’s Board of Directors, staff and parents all participated in redesigning of the house to become the daycare we now have. Nova Children’s Centre is at its existing capacity of twenty preschooler, five toddlers and three infant positions. Nova Children’s Centre is fortunate to have parents, board members, staff and the community that has helped it flourish over the years. It is our hope that we will be providing families with quality childcare for years to come.
