Our preschool program is licensed for 16 preschoolers (age 2.5 to 4 years) with 2 full-time RECE staff as well as one part-time staff working in this room. Our preschool program offers a full day program with minimum 2 days per week attendance (Monday to Friday). We also offer a morning nursery program with choice of staying for lunch with a minimum 2 mornings attendance per week.

In our preschool program, the children learn through their interests as well as some teacher directed experiences. They are encouraged to explore the surroundings around them, through self help, science, literacy, cognitive, etc, as we see the children as capable, competent, curious and full of potential.

We encourage parent participation within our learning experiences as they are the first and most powerful influence in their child’s learning (eg. family culture, photos, experiences they have which can extend learning).

We feel it is important to keep our parents up to date on their children’s learning and talk/work with parents on a regular basis. We also email parents regularly with updates and photos of their child’s learning fun.

We hold parent/teacher nights at our centre twice per year to meet with and update families on their child’s development.
