Our SR Toddler Program is licensed for 5 Toddlers (age 2 years to 2.5 years) with 1 RECE staff. Our toddler program is offered for 4 or 5 full days per week (Monday to Friday). Every child is encouraged to participate in daily activities, both teacher and child directed to foster children’s exploration, play and inquiry incorporated both indoors/outdoors. Each child will have active play, rest/quiet time in their day and a cot to sleep on daily.

Our children go outdoors twice per day for active gross motor fun, weather permitting. We have a positive environment that children are allowed to make choices as it creates calmness and pleasantness in our rooms. Programs are based upon children’s current interests to encourage skill development and give natural flow in our centre.

We feel it’s very important to have our parents up to date on their child’s day/needs/accomplishments and development process. Each toddler parent will receive a daily email communication about their child’s day.

We also provide opportunities throughout the year to share children’s progress/developmental reports as we welcome our families in the centre for an open house night & schedule individual parent teacher meetings.
