Our Jr. Toddler program is licensed for 5 toddlers (age 18 months to 2.5 yrs) with 1 RECE staff. Our toddler program is offered for 4 or 5 full days per week (Monday to Friday).

Every child is encouraged to participate in daily activities, both teacher and child directed to foster children’s exploration, play and inquiry incorporated both indoors/outdoors.

Our children go outdoors twice per day for active gross motor fun weather permitting. We feel exploration and self help are key in a toddlers day and we encourage throughout the day keeping in mind each child’s development. Each child will have active play, rest/quiet time in their day and a cot to sleep on daily.

We feel it’s very important to keep our parents up to date on their child’s day/needs/accomplishments and development process. Parents of a toddler are provided with a daily communication email about their child’s day.

We also provide opportunities throughout the year to share children’s progress/development reports as we welcome our families in the centre for an open house night and schedule individual parent/teacher meetings.
